Virtual screenings of Fugetsu-Do coming up at Short Sweet, DisOrient, and Ogeechee Film Festivals!

I’m so excited that Fugetsu-Do has been accepted into these three exceptional film festivals. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all of these festivals have gone virtual; although I’ll miss interacting with other filmmakers in person, one silver lining of virtual festivals is that you can tune in from anywhere in the world! Please support these local festivals by joining us at:

Short. Sweet. Film Festival (February 24-28)

Short. Sweet’s goal for their ninth annual film festival is to showcase films under 30 minutes to the growing art scene in the greater Cleveland area and highlight the works of student to veteran filmmakers across the country. We look for short, sweet, original, and unique films that would often soar under the radar of most festivals. You can register now for FREE to watch all films on-demand between Feb. 24 to 28 at https://www.shortsweetfilmfest.com/plans/on-demand/

Ogeechee International History Film Festival (Feb 25 - Mar 5)

The Ogeechee International History Film Festival (OIHFF) is the only open submission, juried, international cinema program of its kind. The festival made its debut in March 2017 in Statesboro, Georgia, and has continued to promote and celebrate history presented through motion picture ever since. Now in its sixth season, it is also the longest-running film festival of this type in the world. Tickets will be available soon at https://ogeechee.sparqfest.live/en/_blocks/2021/immigrant-los-angeles.html

DisOrient Asian American Film Festival (March 19-28)

DisOrient is the premiere Asian American independent film festival of Oregon, celebrating films with authentic Asian Pacific American voices, histories and stories. They highlight social justice themes that translate to universal human experiences and promote representation, diversity and inclusion to broaden the narrative of who is American, and to strengthen and build community. You can either pre-order tickets for $9.50 to the screening block my film is in "SHORTS: Japanese American Voices Past and Present" or you can buy an all-access pass to watch all films virtually for $48.
