A Liar's Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman
FIVE ANIMATED SEGMENTS PRODUCED BY KAIA ROSE
This feature film premiered at Toronto International Film Festival and is a unique look into the only openly gay / closeted alcoholic member of Monty Python. Graham Chapman, back from the dead, plays himself (via recordings of him reading from his autobiography) alongside fellow Pythons John Cleese, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin.
The filmmakers Bill + Ben decided to utilize 15 different animation companies from across the UK to animate different segments of Graham's life. While working for ArthurCox, I produced five of those sections, directed by Matthew Walker and George Sander-Jackson. The final result is a feature 'documentary' that tells the story of Graham's life in his own words (with varying degrees of factual accuracy but a whole lot of heart and silliness) using 17 different animation styles. Oh and in stereoscopic 3D.
8 minutes idle
production managed by kaia rose
The day I began working at ArthurCox, their first feature film 8 minutes idle made it into the final round of iFeatures funding. Four years later, days after I moved back to the US, we celebrated the film's cinema release. Throughout that entire time, I assisted producer Sarah Cox in managing all aspects of production from pre-production through to post-production and distribution.
